Blue Star Museums Kickoff Cookout
Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground

This Armed Forces Day, celebrate Blue Star Families with The National WWII Museum!

Following the Museum’s Armed Forces Day Commemoration, veterans, current military personnel, and their families are invited to enjoy a cookout-style lunch and family-friendly activities on the Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground to kick off this year’s Blue Star Museums program. Plus, get up-close and interact with modern-day military vehicles and equipment from local military installations.

The Blue Star Museums program is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and museums across America. Learn more about the program and reserve your tickets here.

The cookout lunch is free with prior registration. Cash sales for the cookout’s food and beverage service will be available for those who do not register in advance.
