Bruce and Emily Nolan present "The Sea Bag: WWII Correspondence"

Four months after Hurricane Katrina, the children of Bob and Jeanne Vath discovered in their flooded Lakeview home a Navy sea bag containing their deceased parents' entire WWII correspondence. The 700 letters between a sailor in the South Pacific and his girl in New Orleans opened an extraordinary window into their parents' youth and set the family on a journey that led to the creation of a private family memoir. Feel free to bring your lunch or just join us for the lecture.
