Dinner with a Curator

Kim Guise presents “Capturing Confinement”

Thousands of images were taken of Japanese American life behind barbed wire during WWII. The American West provided the backdrop for many of these images and others that made Depression-era photographers Ansel Adams and Dorothea Lange famous. This month’s Dinner with a Curator menu plays off of the environs of the American West combined with nods to flavors from Japanese American traditions. Hear more about these famous artists and their wartime works during the last weeks of our special exhibit From Barbed Wire to Battlefields: Japanese American Experiences in WWII.

Guests are welcome to tour the special exhibit prior to the dinner from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
