Richard Moran presents Louisiana Maneuvers

Explore the lessons learned during 1941’s Louisiana Maneuvers. Many camps and Army airfields in Louisiana were built, updated, and modified for the Maneuvers, including Fort Polk, which is still an active base today. Learn how the US military changed as a result of the largest training exercise ever held.

This lecture is a part of the public programming schedule for the special exhibit The Pelican State Goes to War: Louisiana in World War II, on display now.

Lunchbox Lectures are free and open to the public on every first and third Wednesday of the month. For more information, call 504-528-1944 x 463.
