Marlene Trestman presents Bessie Margolin and the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials

From the New Orleans Jewish orphanage where she was raised to the United States Supreme Court through which she championed workers' rights, Bessie Margolin made a mark on the biggest issues of her time—including the Nazi war crimes trials after World War II.

Marlene Trestman, author of Fair Labor Lawyer: The Remarkable Life of New Deal Attorney and Supreme Court Advocate Bessie Margolin, will discuss Margolin's important work that shaped the historic American Military Tribunals in Nuremberg in 1946 and brought to justice more than 200 second-tier Nazis, including judges, doctors, and industrialists.

Join us after the lecture for a book signing in the Museum Store from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
