SOLD OUT! Dinner with a Curator
BB's Stage Door Canteen

Join Tom Czekanski for “D-Day Innovations: Thinking Outside the Box at Normandy.”

Join Tom Czekanski, the Museum’s Senior Curator and Restorations Manager, as he explores many of the innovative concepts both Axis and Allied forces implemented during the Normandy campaign. A great many new ideas were developed during the war but there was probably no greater concentration of them than at Normandy. From prefabricated Mulberry harbours to “hedge cutter” tank modifications to the Operation Pluto undersea fuel-delivery system, learn how imagination and innovation helped change the course of history at a turning point in World War II.

Tom’s father, Alphonse Czekanski, was a paratrooper who jumped on D-Day, landing near Sainte-Mère-Église and later fighting at La Fière Bridge. As the 75th anniversary of the invasion approaches, this is sure to be a memorable night of WWII history.
