Dinner with a Curator: "Loyal Forces: WWII War Dogs"
BB's Stage Door Canteen

The use of dogs in military service is ubiquitous today, but it was not until World War II that the US Armed Forces began a war dog program. With the aid of Dogs for Defense and training programs across the United States, the military was able to establish a program for guard dogs, scout and messenger dogs, and even mine-detection dogs. Join us as Senior Registrar and Director of Collection Management Toni Kiser discusses the history of America's war dogs and their path to become a successful and vital part of the military.

Dinner with a Curator is an evening of dinner and history hosted by The American Sector Restaurant & Bar culinary team and Museum professionals. Guests participate in discussion on a featured topic related to World War II, which is interpreted through the Museum's collection and a theme-inspired three-course dinner paired with beverage specials.
