Get an up-close look at the fabled aircraft that ruled the air in World War II! For one weekend only, see majestic WWII planes fully restored — including a P-51 Mustang, B-17 Flying Fortress, B-25 Mitchell, B-29 Superfortress, and an assortment of fighters, trainers, and liaison aircraft — on-site at New Orleans Lakefront Airport. At WWII AirPower Expo 2014, visitors can see these legendary aircraft up close on the tarmac, watch them soar overhead for demonstration flights, and even climb inside one for a thrill-of-a-lifetime ride-along flight. Come meet the pilots, restoration crews, and WWII veterans who flew in these majestic machines and know them best. Also on site will be WWII ground vehicles including a Jeep, Cle-Trac, Stuart Tank, and others, and some special artifacts from the Museum's collection for a special hands-on history experience. Your all-access ticket includes all three days of the Expo, plus entry to the AirPower Swing dance in the newly restored art-deco terminal, with live music by the Victory Big Band and Victory Belles.
