The 16th International Conference on World War II features a daylong pre-conference symposium, “Finding Hope in a World Destroyed: WWII Liberations & Legacies.” Two subsequent days of Conference sessions will explore an array of topics, including: “A New World Order and US Postwar Responsibilities”; “Monuments Men and Women Across the World: WWII and Today”; “Mass Murder and Memory in Eastern Europe”; a roundtable discussion of Masters of the Air; and more. Hear from leading scholars and historians like Jeremy Black, Rana Mitter, Blanche Wiesen Cook, Ronald Spector, Keith Lowe, Francine Hirsch, Robert M. Edsel, and John McManus.
In addition to daytime learning sessions, the Conference will include evening social events such as the Welcome Reception, Museum Open House (featuring the new Liberation Pavilion, opening in November 2023), and Closing Banquet Dinner.
